From Idea to Product: How SCMFlux is Built

Why we build our own software alongside consulting — and what that means for our clients.

Why do consultants build their own software?

The honest answer: Because we can — and because it makes our consulting better.

Many consulting firms advise without building themselves. They create concepts, roadmaps, and potential analyses. That’s valuable. But it lacks the proof that the recommended approaches actually work in practice.

SCMFlux is our proof. Not as a marketing promise, but as running software that we develop, use, and improve ourselves.

What SCMFlux solves

In many operational teams — especially in logistics, supply chain, and manufacturing — the same problems keep recurring:

  • Documents arrive by email, get manually sorted and forwarded
  • Approvals run through informal channels, CC emails, or shadow processes
  • Important decisions aren’t traceable after the fact
  • New employees need weeks to understand internal workflows

SCMFlux addresses exactly these pain points with a clear architecture: Inbox → Project → Approval → Audit.

The development approach

We didn’t design SCMFlux on a whiteboard but from real work situations. Every feature exists because a real team had a real problem. The product grows module by module, each independently usable. No big bang, no all-or-nothing.

Try it

SCMFlux is available at scmflux.vercel.app. Not a marketing screenshot — a real, running application.
